4 Winners at the Jack Petchey Foundation Awards Night!

Up to £1900 in funding awarded to the 4 winners to be spent on the Youth Club/community!

Jack Petchey Foundation Awards

On the 13th of November the Hounslow community came together in one place. Riana Development Network (RDN) had four members of our Youth Club invited to the Jack Petchey Foundation Awards Night. There were many winners on the night as the Jack Petchey Foundation recognises 11,000 people every year.

When our four winners were announced, the following was stated about why they received their awards:

Daniyal Sethi: "Daniyal's determination is inspiring and since joining the club. He has shown great resilience and great commitment. He has volunteered with younger peers and is so eager to grow and develop.”

Seyaam Ghafari: “Seyaam embodies community spirit and is always so polite and welcoming. He actively supports new members, volunteers, the community projects and is passionate about future generation's needs.”

Godwin Omondi: “Godwin is a true team player, kind and thoughtful consistently helps peers and staff. Godwin has also taken the lead in the organisation of the youth football team. Promoting physical and mental wellbeing for all involved.”

Jenny Bains (Leader award): “Jenny is a champion for youth. Since 2018 she has powered young people through leadership training and mental health education. Her initiatives bring opportunities giving voices to youth in the community.”

Each youth winner is rewarded with £300, with the leader receiving up to £1000. The money can be utilised in any way, as long as it benefits the youth club or the community. Godwin was also the winner of the Silver Ticket, which was a £50 shopping voucher to spend on whatever he wanted.

RDN is grateful to be associated with the Jack Petchey Foundation, as it has enabled us to have a significant impact on the West London community. And the fact that they have affected over a million individuals with over £175 million in grants since 1999 is astonishing.

Jane Parmenter Grants Manager had a few closing words to say, “Behind you are your memories. Before you are all your dreams. Around you are all that love you and within you all that you need.”

With the recent passing of Sir Jack Petchey CBE in June, Riana Development Networks would like to express gratitude for his contributions.
