Mayor of Hounslow, Councillor Karen Smith, presented a Recognition Award to Rodgers Orero and Syreeta Roberts in appreciation of their outstanding contributions to the Hounslow community, particularly their work with young people in Brentford East and Chiswick.

Nominated for their dedication, by Councillor Marina Sharma, Rodgers and Syreeta attended the Mayor’s Recognition Reception at the Mayor’s Parlour in Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, on Friday, 28th March 2025.
This recognition is a testament to the commitment of everyone involved in the organisation, reflecting over 20 years of hard work. Initially founded in the early 2000s to support the diaspora community settling in the UK, the organisation has since expanded its reach. Today, it serves diverse groups through various programmes, including coffee mornings, Holiday Activity Programmes, a community allotment, youth mentoring, youth clubs, sports clubs, and supplementary classes.

Our Executive Director had this to say, "This award is not just about me and my colleague, but a tribute to the collective efforts of volunteers, staff, funders, residents, businesses, and supporters who share the same commitment to strengthening our community. The work is challenging, but incredibly rewarding, seeing young people thrive makes it all worthwhile. Many have gone on to study at Russell Group universities and are now professionals in their own right."
Riana Development Network extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported its mission and remains dedicated to serving the community.
